Glycilax is a mild, glycerol-based laxative that relieves constipation and painful defecation by softening the contents of the bowels and making stools easier to pass. This, in turn, stimulates bowel movements and eases the passage of stool through the digestive tract.

Thanks to this gentle relief, Glycilax is also suitable for administration to babies and children - Glycilax is available as suppositories for both children and adults.

Although no one really likes to talk about it, constipation is, in fact, a widespread problem. Today, around 20 per cent of the population – many of them elderly – are frequent sufferers of constipation, which is often accompanied by unpleasant side-effects such as a bloated feeling or physical discomfort.

The causes of constipation include, amongst others, stress, lack of exercise, a low-fibre diet, insufficient fluid intake and certain medicines or drugs. Here, so-called laxatives, i.e. medicines that promote and ease emptying of the bowels, bring welcome relief.
